Service Description
The Discovery's Chess league goes far beyond simply learning how to play chess. Students will develop critical thinking, problem-solving, strategy, patience and decision-making skills while learning to think ser=veral moves ahead - on and off the chessboard. The league is led by an experienced chess player and accomplished tournament competitor who knows how to make chess engaging and accessible for children of all skill levels. She also has experience running these leagues around the area. Students will learn, practice, compete and grow together as a team, with an exciting goal to work toward: participating in the South Florida Grand Prix Chess Tournament in December! All levels are welcome. $72 per 2-hour class, 9 classes. Enrollment is for the full league. The season concludes with participation in the South Florida Grand Pris Tournament in December. Tournament/federation registration fees are not included and are typically under $100

In this case, families will receive a full refund or may transfer to another session. *We strive to provide a safe, respectful learning environment. Students who repeatedly disrupt the learning experience may be dismissed without refund.
